Peter Pan's Friendship Rewards
With so many wonderful and unique characters in Disney Dreamlight Valley , it's easy to get swept up in the magic and whimsy. Every character takes time to bring back to the village, and Peter Pan is no exception. While he technically never left, he's not about to trust a grown-up without some proof.
He's just a kid after all, and he wants to have fun. Prove to him that you're still just as fun as you were when you were younger and he'll move back into the village for you to hangout with. We'll show you how to unlock Peter Pan and become one of his Lost Boys.
How To Unlock Peter Pan
Before you can find Peter Pan , you'll need to complete the main story quests in Dreamlight Valley to solve the Forgetting crisis. Additionally, you'll need to complete the Forgotten's quests to unlock them as a proper villager.
From there, you can enter Skull Rock on the edge of Dazzle Beach. Inside, there's a massive pirate ship in the water of the cove. Pixie Dust Orbs float around you, and you'll have the opportunity to explore this area after much anticipation.
Shadows On The Wall Quest Walkthrough
Once inside Skull Rock, head up along the ramp to the right to pursue the mysterious shadow. Meet up with the Forgotten here to discuss the locked gate. There has to be a way through, yet neither of you can see anything.
The Forgotten suggests exploring more, and there are plenty of rope winches in the cave. However, you're looking for a dig spot overlooking the ship . When you dig it up, you'll find a broken lantern . Take it to the Forgotten and discuss how to repair the lantern .
It's not a normal lantern made for candles or oil– it's a Pixie Dust Lantern!
There are two more broken lanterns in Skull Rock. Aside from the one by the rope winches , buried underground, the remaining two are in the water by the ship. Fish them out of the sea, then start gathering materials to repair them. You'll need to gather the following materials to repair the broken lanterns:
- Broken Lanterns (3)
- Gold Ingot (3)
- Glass (9)
- Vitalys Crystal (9)
- Pixie Dust Orbs (3)
To find the Pixie Dust Orbs , head out from Skull Rock into the village. You'll have to search for the large golden glowing orbs and chase them down. However, there are a few easier ways to do this.
Tracking them down is the easy part. Open your furniture menu and scan the village to find all three of them much faster. Once you locate them on the map, make sure to grab a few snacks so you can raise your energy to the second level (yellow) and glide. This will make it much easier to catch up to the Pixie Dust Orbs .
For reference, we found our Pixie Dust Orbs in the Glade of Trust, the Forest of Valor, and the Forgotten Lands .
With everything in your inventory, head to a crafting station and make three Pixie Dust Lanterns . Bring them back to Skull Rock and head up the ramp to the right where you found the rope winches. Place one of the lanterns on each of the winches to reveal Peter Pan's shadow!
It's only for a second, so you'll have to trap it by casting all three lantern lights on the back wall, against the rocks. Turn each of the winches to face the space across from the locked gate , and the shadow will appear. Stuck in place, you can finally try communicating.
The shadow wants you to follow, so rotate each of the winches so that they point towards the locked gate's rope winch on the wall. You can talk to the Jade Skulls here, who will let you pass through if you can solve their riddles .
Below are the riddles and the correct answers:
When you answer each riddle correctly , the Jade Skulls will unlock the rope winch on the wall , and you can finally use it to open the way forward.
A Ship Of Gold Quest Walkthrough
After the Jade Skulls unlock the way forward, follow the Forgotten deeper into Skull Rock. Search the new area for a way forward, then speak with the Forgotten about what to do next.
If you're having trouble, try using your pickaxe to break the rock overlooking the ship!
They mention a Pixie Dust Orb dropping plenty of Pixie Dust all over Skull Rock. Follow after it back the way you came and pick up the piles of Pixie Dust along the way.
The orb heads through the tunnel at the bottom of the cave. Use the winch wheel you picked up at the top to repair the mechanism , then head deeper into the tunnel. Get your pickaxe ready, as you'll need it to break the rocks in your path. Continue to collect the piles of Pixie Dust until you have all six .
With the Pixie Dust in your inventory, you'll need to make something fly within Skull Rock!
Walk up to the ship and interact with it to use the Pixie Dust . The ship will rise into the air and you can use it like a bridge to cross over the gap in Skull Rock. When you reach the other side, speak with the Forgotten about what to do next.
It looks like there are several barrels with symbols on them on both sides of Skull Rock. You'll need to line them up to make your way forward. Pair up the barrels in the following groups by rotating them to face each other:
- Tinker Bell and the Bell.
- The Hook and the Ticking Clock.
- The Sewing Needle and the Shadow.
With the barrels lined up, you can retrieve a key from beside the Forgotten and head into the Captain's Quarters on the ship. Use the key to unlock the door, then pick up the rope winch beside the piano.
Take the rope winch back to the Forgotten and insert it into place on the wall. Use it to open the way forward and complete the quest!
The Music's On The Walls Quest Walkthrough
Finally, you'll reach the top of Skull Rock with the Forgotten, though it seems that there are several music notes out of place. You'll need to find them to complete the puzzle. Before you can do anything though, one of them starts floating away, down towards the ship!
Make sure to pick up the key that appears beside the Forgotten! It unlocks the chest in the Captain's Quarters and reveals a treasure map.
Chase after it and catch it to unlock a new memory –one that details the locations of the other missing notes that the shadow hid. Head out of Skull Rock to start chasing after the missing notes and treasure. You can throw down a rope ladder from the side of the ship to make a shortcut.
Outside Skull Rock, take Ariel's raft to her island. There, search the sands for a dig spot to find the buried pirate treasure. Inside is Peter Pan's precious pan flute , which you're going to need.
Then, return to the village to start searching for the missing Glowing Musical Notes. You can find them in the following places, depicted in the memory:
- The Dreamscape. Head to the treehouse in the Forgotten Lands.
- The Mysterious Cave. Make your way into the glowing cave in the Frosted Heights.
- The Dream Castle. Enter the Dream Castle from the Plaza and look for a music note inside.
- Ursula's Cursed Cave. Walk along Dazzle Beach to find the cave Ursula was once trapped in.
- Inside Skull Rock. The final note is being safeguarded by the Jade Skulls. Answer their riddle with "Pixie Dust."
With the notes and the pan flute in your inventory, return to the Forgotten at the top of Skull Rock. All that's left is to fix the music notes in place! Follow the sheet music on the stand after placing the pan flute at the podium, then interact with the buttons to adjust the music.
When you do, Peter Pan's shadow decides to play a prank and mix them all up again. To prevent him from doing this again, craft another Pixie Dust Lantern and place it on the remaining rope winch. Aim it at the spot between both music boards to trap him, the readjust the notes once more.
Once the notes are in place and you play the pan flute, Peter will show himself at last and confront you! However, it's not as happy of a reunion as you'd hope. After all, you're a grown-up now–and Peter Pan doesn't trust grown-ups .
To prove to Peter you can still have fun, you'll need to play hide-and-seek and find him . However, he's chosen to hide somewhere truly scary to prove he has no fear. Follow the trail of Pixie Dust to find him, or ask your fellow villagers for help. All trails lead to the Forgotten's Dark Castle.
Step through the portal in the Plaza to get there!
Once you find Peter within the Dark Castle , you can return to the village to build his home. It costs 20,000 Star Coins , so make sure you have enough to have Scrooge construct it.
After the house is built, you can officially welcome Peter Pan to your village. The fun has only just begun!
How To Unlock More Of Peter Pan's Friendship Quests
It's not enough to just unlock Peter Pan –you'll need to become his best friend to unlock all his rewards. These are designed to help you express yourself using Neverland's finest designs .
To increase your friendship level , you'll need to give Peter Pan gifts, hangout with him, serve meals at the restaurant , and much more! It's a lot of work, but you'll unlock quests as you do this to help make the grind easier.
If you have the A Rift In Time DLC, you can play Scramblecoin with Peter, too!
Upon reaching friendship level two, you can assign Peter Pan a role to do when you hangout together. Whether he helps you collect more herbs, find more buried treasure, reel in more fish, or something else, it's worth assigning a role to boost your stats . You'll likely spend a lot of time together.
Roles can be changed upon reaching level ten friendship, so your choice doesn't have to be permanent.
Shadow Tag Quest Walkthrough
To unlock this quest, you'll need to reach friendship level two with Peter Pan. You'll also need to have Minnie Mouse, Sally, Belle, and the Beast in your village.
When you're ready, talk to Peter Pan about what's bothering him. He's lost his shadow (again) and needs your help to find it. He assumes Minnie knows something since he heard her scream the other night.
Pay a visit to Minnie Mouse and talk with her about what happened. Apparently, when she was watching scary movies, Peter Pan's shadow jumped out at her. It's likely still in there, so head inside and examine her bedside lamp to make it appear.
Since the shadow needs light to appear, you'll have to turn the lamp on.
Talk to Peter Pan about how to catch his shadow. As it's already left Minnie's house, you'll need to catch it somewhere else . Thankfully, Peter has a plan. He needs you to gather materials and craft a Shadow Spotlight .
Gather the following to make four Shadow Spotlights:
- Glass (15)
- Iron Ingot (6)
- Diamond (2)
Once you have the lanterns, talk to Sally to collect Shadow Thread . Take everything to Peter inside Belle and the Beast's Castle . Listen to Peter and the Beast talk about the shadow, then give the materials to Peter. He'll have you set up the lanterns yourself along the entryway.
After placing all four lanterns, Peter's shadow will be frozen in place . Wait for Kristoff to sew the shadow back on , then speak with Peter one more time to complete the quest.
A Real Hideout Quest Walkthrough
To unlock this quest, you'll need to reach friendship level four with Peter Pan. You'll also need to have both Remy and Sulley in your village.
When you're ready, speak to Peter Pan to learn that he's really hungry and has only been eating candy. While you hurry off to cook him a five-star entree , he'll go eat Vanellope's house.
Don't worry; there's no lasting damage to Vanellope's house.
When you bring him the food of your choice , he doesn't want it. No offense, but he's just a kid. He's going to want something more kid-friendly, so speak to both Sulley and Remy to get new recipes for kid-preferred meals.
Make Peter a peanut butter sandwich and some French fries to fill his stomach, which puts him in a better mood. He then asks you to help him clean up his house to make it more homey.
Head to Peter's house and clear out the six piles of trash , then pick up the Old Swing and give it to Peter. It sparks a memory, which you can collect. Talk to him about the memory to learn that there's buried treasure around the Valley. Specifically, there are three items hidden underground. You can find them below:
With the treasures in your inventory, return them to Peter Pan . Place each one back where it belongs, starting with the Hooked Lamp above the desk . Put the Bag of Treasures next to the bed , then set up the Telescope by the window at the back of the hideout.
Once that's done, talk with Peter one more time to complete the quest. You'll get a boost in friendship points asa reward. If you head outside, you'll also see that Peter has set up the swing just off to the side. Unfortunately, you cannot sit here , but it's a nice finishing touch on the house.
No, the swing cannot be removed.
The New Lost Boys Quest Walkthrough
The next friendship quest requires you to reach friendship level seven , and you'll also need the Fairy Godmother, Vanellope, WALL-E, Olaf, and Scar unlocked. Once you meet these requirements, you'll need to talk to Peter Pan. He asks if you can make a few desserts for him, including three of each:
With the pies in your inventory, give them to Peter Pan . He'll send you off to check on the Fairy Godmother , mentioning something about a broken wand issue. When you speak to her though, it seems like you were fooled. There's nothing wrong–but Peter is up to no good.
Hurry to find Peter Pan in Donald Duck's house . Listen to Peter and Donald's conversation, where Donald is mostly yelling about pies ruining his home. When you talk to Peter , he's surprised that no one was prepared for a pie attack surprise. It seems like he just wanted something to play with, but picked the wrong targets.
If Peter and Donald's conversation won't start, try restarting the game and heading inside!
They're smushed everywhere, and you'll need to use your Royal Watering Can to clean it all up. After you clear away the pies, there are two more homes to hit: The Dreamlight Library and Scar's Lair .
Once you've cleared away the pies in all three locations, talk to Peter once more. He's missing something important–his Lost Boys. Without friends to play with, Peter is lonely. It's time to hold auditions for new members of Peter's crew.
To do that, you'll need to put up audition signs . You can craft them with the following materials:
- Softwood (5)
- Dry Wood (25)
- Green Passion Lily (10)
- Red Passion Lily (10)
With the signs crafted, place them around the village, then meet with Peter Pan in his house to hold auditions. Ask whatever questions you like, as the applicants are (for the most part) quite qualified.
Other kids and non-aging characters appear to be one of Peter's new friends, and you'll have your hands full soon enough.
Once Peter makes his selection, you'll help swear in the new Lost Boys and complete the quest!
The Valley Pirates Quest Walkthrough
Peter Pan's final friendship quest is a game of make believe! This exciting adventure requires you to reach level ten with Peter Pan . When you speak with him, he'll tell you that it's time to battle the pirates of the Valley, and you'll need a black and red top hat to start.
Don't worry! The adults in the quest have all agreed to play along with Peter's game.
Dress up in your best Lost Boy gear with the top hat, then speak with Peter to begin. Your first task is to track down Eric the Meek , a pirate that Olaf spotted in the Frosted Heights cave . Make your way there and enter the cave, then use your Royal Pickaxe to break the four giant ice blockades in your way.
Speak with Prince Eric to learn about the location of another pirate–one lurking in the Forgotten Lands Dreamscape. However, you'll need plenty of gold and minerals to bribe the First Mate into revealing the location of the pirate treasure.
Make sure you have at least five gems/minerals and ten gold nuggets in your inventory!
Take your bribe to the Dreamscape Treehouse and confront the first mate–The Fairy Godmother! She'll reveal that the pirates are holed up in Skull Rock. Head down to Dazzle Beach, then cross the waters to reach Skull Rock. Enter the cave and confront the next pirate guard.
Ariel stands guard here waiting for you. She's a pirate, sure, but mermaids have long been friends with Peter Pan . You won't be able to pass without the password, but she'll give you a hint .
Once you best Ariel at her own game, continue past the guard and up the ramp through Skull Rock. You'll see your fellow Lost Boys here, and at the very top, you'll find Peter Pan . At the other end of the cave is the pirate captain, The Forgotten.
The Pixie Dust Lanterns are turned on here, and you'll have to sneak past them.
Wait and watch the movements of the lanterns to see where an opening is, then quickly speed past to safety. If you're caught, you'll have to start over, so make sure not to step into the spotlight's way.
As soon as you reach the Forgotten, talk to them . They'll challenge you to a sword fight, and you'll get to battle them in a game of make believe to win the key to the pirate treasure chest.
After obtaining the key, open the chest and collect the rewards . Open the bag dropped into your inventory to unlock the Valley Pirate's Treasure Chest. This unique piece of furniture can be placed in your Valley to summon the Lost Boys and pirates for a commemorative photo.
The objective says to take a selfie, but you can use any camera angle.
Once you've taken the photo, chat with Peter Pan about your grand adventure together. You'll receive his best friend reward , which is a fine outfit inspired by Neverland and all its wonder. Congrats on becoming Peter Pan's best friend!
Peter Pan's Friendship Rewards
As you develop a friendship with Peter Pan , you'll gain a series of new rewards and items you can use to decorate your village with Neverland flair.
