Colorado's Epic 4th of July 2025 Fireworks Schedule Revealed

DENVER ( KDVR ) — In just a few weeks, America will celebrate its birthday with a burst of light and fireworks shows across the nation. The Fourth of July will be marked by many fireworks and drone displays around Denver and across Colorado.

It’s important to remember that in most areas of Colorado, fireworks are prohibited if they leave the ground. In other areas, all fireworks — including sparklers and ground-based fireworks — are illegal.

Arvada: The city has celebrated Independence Day since 1979 with fireworks at the Stenger Sports Complex , 11200 W. 58th Ave. The 2025 show will begin at about 9:15 p.m.. The Stenger Sports Complex gates will open to vehicles at 6:30 p.m., and food trucks will be on site beginning at about 5:30 p.m. West 589th Avenue will be closed to traffic beginning at about 8 p.m.

Aurora: The July Fourth Spectacular in Aurora will be held on Friday, July 4, from 6-10 p.m., with fireworks planned for 9:30 p.m. The event is set to take place at the Aurora Municipal Center, 15151 E. Alameda Parkway, and will feature a variety of musical performances, food trucks and other entertainment.

Breckenridge: The city of Breckenridge holds a variety of July Fourth celebrations , starting at 7 a.m. with the Independence Day 10K. The National Repertory Orchestra Alumni String Quartet is scheduled to play at 12:30 p.m, with the full orchestra set to play at 6 p.m. Because of fire risks, the city does not have fireworks displays.

Boulder: The city is not holding a fireworks show or celebration for July Fourth, but Phish is set to play at Folsom Field from July 3 through 5, the Colorado Music Festival will be underway at the Chautauqua Auditorium, and the Boulder Symphony is expected to play at the historic Boulder Bandshell, but details are still TBA.

Brighton: The Adams County “Stars & Stripes Celebration” is on Thursday, July 3 and is planned to start at 4 p.m. at Riverdale Regional Park, 9755 Henderson Road. The night will end with “musical fireworks” at 9:30 p.m. and food and beer vendors will be on site throughout the afternoon. At 7:30 p.m., country singer Tayler Holder will perform.

Broomfield: Join the Great American Picnic at Broomfield County’s Commons Park at 13200 Sheridan Blvd. The events start at 5 p.m. and will include inflatables, concessions, food vendors and a beer garden, and a music show is planned to begin at 6 p.m. End your evening with a bang with fireworks planned for 9:15 p.m. This year, the county is providing real-time notifications for attendees, instead of trying to find weather and fireworks show updates online or on social media.

Buena Vista: A 2-day event will be held for the town’s annual festivities from Friday, July 4, through Saturday, July 5. The city’s parade is scheduled for 10 a.m. on East Main Street, followed by a festival from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. at McPhelemy Park . In 2024, the American Legion Post 55 sponsored fireworks, but no such logistics have been announced for 2025.

Castle Rock: Fireworks will begin at sundown (approximately 9:30 p.m.) with a “ high-flying, 15-minute fireworks show ” to be set off from the former Acme Brick facility on Prairie Hawk Drive. A three-shot salute will start the show. In the event of rain or a severe weather event, the fireworks show will be moved to July 5.

Colorado Springs: The main event planned in Colorado Springs is the Star Spangled Symphony and Fourth of July Fireworks show . The performance is broadcast on several radio stations, as well as Rocky Mountain PBS and KKTV, in conjunction with the fireworks show. The show is set to begin at 9:15 p.m.

Commerce City: The 4thFest is a free event outside Dick’s Sporting Goods Park and is a partnership with the Colorado Rapids team. Commerce City’s free family festival will feature a bounce house, rock climbing wall, soccer darts, pedal carts, a mechanical bull and more. The Rapids will kick off against Sporting Kansas City at 7:30 p.m. during the festival, and after the game, fireworks are expected to start at about 10 p.m.

Cripple Creek: Gold Camp 4th and Cripple Creek 4th of July will be celebrated with old-fashioned fun and a fireworks show scheduled to begin at about 9:30 p.m., produced by Zambelli Fireworks. The event is in conjunction with a street festival that includes food and drink vendors, donkeys, live music and family games. Events are also planned for July 5.

Denver ( Coors Field): Fireworks will light up the sky over downtown Denver after the Colorado Rockies games on July 4 vs. the Chicago White Sox and July 5 vs. the White Sox.

Englewood: The city’s annual fireworks celebration will be held at Belleview Park and Cornerstone Park for the Independence Day Celebration, which includes food trucks and local vendors as well. The event will be held from 5 to 10 p.m. Fireworks start at 9:15 p.m.

Estes Park: The Fourth of July in Estes features a fireworks display over Lake Estes scheduled for about 9:30 p.m. The city is also hosting a ticketed concert at the Estes Park Events Complex by The Long Run, a tribute band for The Eagles. When the concert ends, the fireworks are set to start. The city is also hosting a six-year anniversary party from July 4-6 with Avant Garde Aleworks.

Firestone: Celebrate the 23rd Annual 4th at Firestone at Miners Park . The city is planning events beginning at 11 a.m., including a flyover tribute for veterans and a family festival. A fireworks display is planned for 9:30 p.m., sponsored this year by Black Hills Energy.

Fort Collins: The city is hosting a range of events starting with the “ FireKracker 5K ” at 7:30 a.m. on July 4 on City Park Drive between Sheldon and Jackson. A parade is scheduled for 10 a.m., and trolley rides will be offered from noon to 5 p.m. Live music will begin at about 4 p.m., and the night will end with a fireworks show at City Park’s Sheldon Lake, scheduled for 9:35 p.m. A free shuttle service is available to get to and from the park.

Golden: The city will not have any fireworks as usual, but is planning a full day’s worth of activities hosted by the Golden Lions Club in Lions Park off of 10th Street. The event will feature bands, food and drink and kids’ games, among other activities.

Grand Lake: The town of Grand Lake will hold a 30-minute fireworks display on July 4 at about 10 p.m., launched from a barge near the Headwaters Marina. The display could be delayed or canceled if fire bans are enacted.

Greeley: The Greeley Stampede is planning a fireworks show at Island Grove on July 4, starting at about 9:30 p.m. The Stampede will also hold its traditional Independence Day parade along 10th Avenue, starting at 9 a.m. and featuring longhorns, marching bands and equestrians from around the state. Over on the west side of Greeley, the Greeley Country Club (4500 West 10th Street) has a display planned.

Highlands Ranch: The Highlands Ranch Community Association is planning a July Fourth fireworks display at about 9 p.m . The display will be held at Highland Heritage Regional Park, 9651 S. Quebec St., and festivities will begin at 6 p.m. with food truck.

Lakewood: Head out to the Big Belmar Bash on July 3 from 5-10 p.m. at the intersection of South Teller Street and West Alaska Drive, where there will be live bands, diverse vendors, food and drink, and other entertainment. The event will be capped off with a drone show at about 9:15 p.m. , rain or shine. MIX 100.3 will provide a soundtrack for the airborne light show.

Littleton: The Foothills Park and Recreation District is hosting “Red, White and You” on Thursday, July 3 from 5-10 p.m. in Clement Park, 7306 W. Bowles Ave. The event will feature vendors, a kids zone area, beer and wine garden and a free concert with “That Eighties Band” at 7 p.m. The fireworks display is scheduled for 9:30 p.m. and will launch south of the amphitheater. The display is fire-ban and weather-dependent.

Longmont: The city of Longmont is planning a July 4 celebration from 5 p.m. to 11 p.m. centered around a street party, live music and a concert in the park. The St. Vrain Valley School District’s Aero team is set to return for a 300-drone show above the Dickens Farm Nature Area. A fireworks show is set to be lit off over the Longmont Fire Training Center. Times for both shows were not shared on the city’s website.

Lone Tree: Party in Prairie Sky Park on July Fourth with the city of Lone Tree. Events start at 9 a.m. with a family fun ride and stroll, but things kick up a notch at about 6 p.m. with the party in the park. Music will be performed by Gypsy Dreams: A Tribute To Fleetwood Mac, set to begin at 8 p.m., although live music will start at about 6:45 with other bands. At about 9:30 p.m., the fireworks display is scheduled to launch.

Louisville: Head to the Coal Creek Golf Course at 585 West Dillon Drive on July 4 for food, music and summer activities. Event organizers are strongly suggesting that attendees use event transportation to get to the site, details of which are available on the city’s website. A firework display is planned to begin at 9:30 p.m.

Loveland: Loveland will not hold a July 4 celebration in 2025, citing budget priorities and shortfalls.

Northglenn: The July 4 festival and fireworks are scheduled from noon to 9:30 p.m. on July 4 at the E.B. Rains Jr. Community Park, 11800 Community Center Drive. Events are planned throughout the afternoon, including a car show, vendo r festival, duck derby race and live music. Fireworks are planned for 9:15 p.m., but could be delayed until 10 p.m. If they’re not shot on July 4, the city will try again after sunset on July 5.

Parker: Parker is hosting a fireworks display on July 4 at about 9:30 p.m. The display will launch from Salisbury Park, 11920 Motsenbocker Road, with no associated event. The display is weather-dependent.

Thornton: The party starts at noon in Thornton at Carpenter Park Fields, located at the intersection of 108th Avenue and Colorado Boulevard. The event will have food, live entertainment and beer gardens, all culminating with parachutists jumping at 9:30 p.m. , followed by the “Red, White and Boom Fantabulous Fireworks” display. Carpooling to the event is strongly recommended.

Vail: From 10 a.m. to noon, Vail is holding a Fourth of July parade, but the real slate of events begins at 2 p.m. with a patriotic concert by the Dallas Symphony Orchestra at the Amp, benefiting the Vail Veterans Program. The city is planning a fireworks show at 9:45 p.m. that will launch from Golden Peak, weather permitting.

Westminster: The city of Westminster is planning its annual fireworks display for July 4 after a celebration held from 4 to 10 p.m. at Westminster City Park .
